Having lived in the north for many years, I really appreciate seeing older vehicles without body rust. So many of my good-running cars succumbed to rust long before their time. Here in Florida, it is not uncommon to see vehicles 25+ years old.
Ford F150
My best guess is that this is a 1992-96 model Ford F150. I saw it in the park this morning, on my daily walk. Someday, when this pandemic is over, I will be able to roam downtown and see a lot more interesting vehicles.

Yes, I know what you mean. I lived in upstate NY, and anything older than about 10 years could have serious chassis rust.

No Wegmans that I remember; although I don’t really remember which grocery stores were in the area. There were lots of different ethnic markets in Utica, especially eastern European, and lots of summer block parties.

When I was 16 I used to drive my parents truck around that looked exactly like this!

Stumbled on this because of truck content - but hey I know Clinton, I went to Colgate from 2000-2004. Did you by chance work for Hamilton College?

No, but we lived just up the road from Hamilton College . I worked for GE, which had closed by 2000 ( I think).

DeLand - about 20 miles south west of Daytona Beach . It is a nice smaller town that, until March, had a very vibrant downtown.

You don’t have to go as far south as where I live but you would be surprised just how cheap completely rust free good running trucks are compared to NY prices. I wish you luck in your search.

I was about to say I see absolutely nothing at all uncommon about this, but then I realized your perspective. I mean, I know two people who daily drive rust free air cooled VWs year round with original floorp ans. The 90s F150 is only remarkable for the condition of the paint, which does happen to be very nice in this instance. I see them pretty regularly, though admittedly rarely in such good condition cosmetically.
So you are living in Florida now or just locked down in vacation?

I’ve been living here since 2015, and it is my favorite place that I have lived (I have had 7 driver’s licences, so there have been a lot of moves). You must be from a snow-free location to have rust-free air cooled VWs.

One of them isn’t even garage kept! Yes, this northern suburb of Atlanta is particularly kind to cars with all the interstate driving and mild climate. Humidity will rust bare metal but there’s not much else, which makes for some great DOTS. I’ve seen some real pristi ne survivors. You know, I don’t think I’ve ever seen visible rust on those infamous early 2000s Mazdas.
